Labradorite is known for this phenomenon called labradorescence, where light reflects off internal layers within the stone, creating shifting flashes of color. This particular piece leans heavily into deep ocean blues with hints of icy shimmer, making it especially striking in natural light.

I wrapped it entirely by hand in sterling silver, designing the wire work to frame the stone without covering its flash zones. The setting is simple and secure, letting the labradorite do what it does best—shift, glow, and surprise you every time it moves.

Fun fact: Labradorite was first discovered in Labrador, Canada, by Moravian missionaries in the 1700s, and according to Inuit legend, the Northern Lights were once trapped in the rocks along the shore. Some of those lights were freed, but others remained inside the stone—what we now see as labradorite’s famous flash.

A bold, moody, and magical pendant—handcrafted in sterling silver and made to catch light in the most unexpected ways.
