I have to tell you about this piece because it’s one of those stones that people keep picking up and turning over in their hands.

This is a coral fossil pendant, wire wrapped by me in sterling silver. What you’re seeing isn’t just a pretty pattern—it’s actually ancient coral that lived in warm, shallow seas millions of years ago. Over time, the original organic coral slowly broke down and was replaced by minerals carried in groundwater. That process turned it into stone while still preserving the delicate structure of the coral itself.

That’s why you still see those little flower like corals frozen in time. It feels like it has its own tiny blooms, like nature pressed pause on an ancient reef just so we could find it today.

I wrapped this cabochon in sterling silver to highlight those natural patterns without overpowering them—letting the fossil be the star while giving it a clean, timeless frame. It’s one of those pieces that feels both earthy and a little magical, like wearing a piece of ancient ocean history that still remembers how to bloom.
