I just finished wrapping this milky white Ethiopian opal in sterling silver, and it has that soft, glowing look that feels almost like captured cloud light. At first glance it appears calm and creamy, but once it catches movement in the light, flashes of color begin to appear.
Ethiopian opals are known for their incredible play-of-color, formed in volcanic rock where silica-rich water slowly filled natural cavities and solidified over time.
This piece was wrapped entirely by hand in sterling silver, designed with an open setting to let as much light reach the opal as possible. That openness helps bring out the flashes of color, especially the rare red fire that appears at just the right angle.
A soft, dreamy pendant with a hidden spark—quiet at first glance, but full of color once it moves in the light.
